The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards, CLARB will be changing their testing format for the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.) effective this coming September.
Currently the test consists of five sections, but will tapered down to four as well as full computer-based testing. This change is due to recent task analysis research, advancements in testing technology and the evolution of the marketplace. The L.A.R.E. Transition Chart provides a visual summary of how existing exam sections will transition to the new exam.
Although the cost of the exam does not change the structure of payment does. The per-section cost will increase, as total costs are spread across four sections instead of five.
CLARB encourages candidates that are presently in the exam process to complete all sections of the current exam by the June 2012 administration to ensure that they receive credit for sections they have passed.
