NEW YORK, NY ?EUR" A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held recently to mark the completion of Phase II of a $1 million reconstruction project at the Watson Gleason Playground on Rosedale Avenue between Watson and Gleason Avenues in the Bronx. The project was designed by Vollmer Associates on behalf of the City of New York Parks and Recreation Department. First designed by the Parks Department and built with labor provided by the Works Projects Administration in 1938, the Watson Gleason Playground is named after two prominent local landowners, William Watson and Joseph J. Gleason, who lived in the area over a century ago.
