The 16th Annual Central States Conference was held virtually from May 12th through May 14th in Omaha, Nebraska.

 

The conference was organized by the Nebraska/Dakotas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) with an overall theme for the conference FUSE: 2021 Diverse| Collaborative | Cohesive.

"Hats go off to the planning team. Through perseverance, dedication, and fortitude, they have put together an incredible lineup of speakers for what will be an engaging, one- of-a-kind virtual event," Bryan Leininger, the Nebraska/Dakotas ASLA Chapter President said, "Each day will be kicked off by phenomenal keynote speakers - Michelle Delk of Sn???,hetta, Nathan Elliott of the Office of James Burnett, and Scott Bishop of Bishop Land Design."

The virtual event included the traditional events found at in-person conferences including an awards ceremony, a social, and speakers such as Associate Professor and Chair at Iowa State University, Carl Rogers, Principal at Alliance, Amber Sausen, and Placemaking Planner at the City of Lincoln Nebraska, Collin Christopher to name a few.
