Landscape Contractor Tom Reily is based in the coastal community of Capitola, in California?EUR??,,????'?????<


Outdoor kitchens are in, according to landscaper Tom Reily, who picked up two of the top awards from the Central Coast chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association this summer.

He earned the Judges Award for his work at a Saratoga residence. The $250,000 project, which took 10 months, included an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, patio, arbor and landscaping next to an existing swimming pool. Judges singled it out for innovation, creativity and craftsmanship.

Reily, 43, whose office is near Santa Cruz in Capitola, is a repeat winner in the association’s beautification contest.

Other Central Coast winners were:

Small residential maintenance, under $500 per month: First place, Tom Reily Landscape, Capitola.

Xeriscape water conservation: First place, Greening Associates, Ben Lomond.

Small residential installation under $25,000: First place, Greening Associates, Ben Lomond.

Medium residential installation $25,000-$50,000: Runner-up, Dreamscape, Santa Cruz.

Custom residential $100,000-$150,000: First place, Prime Landscape Service Inc., Santa Cruz.

Residential estate Over $150,000: Runner-up, Jerry Allison Landscape Inc. Watsonville.

Water feature: First place, Christiansen Associates, Santa Cruz, for the Hays garden; runner-up, Coastal Evergreen Co. Inc., Scotts Valley.

Large residential maintenance, over $500 per month: First place, Coastal Evergreen Co. Inc., Scotts Valley.

Maintenance sweepstakes award: First place, Coastal Evergreen Co. Inc., Scotts Valley.

Renovation incorporate 25 percent of old landscape: Runner-up, Green And Growing Landscape Inc. Santa Cruz.
