Outdoor kitchens are in, according to landscaper Tom Reily, who picked up two of the top awards from the Central Coast chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association this summer.
He earned the Judges Award for his work at a Saratoga residence. The $250,000 project, which took 10 months, included an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, patio, arbor and landscaping next to an existing swimming pool. Judges singled it out for innovation, creativity and craftsmanship.
Reily, 43, whose office is near Santa Cruz in Capitola, is a repeat winner in the association’s beautification contest.
