NRPA has themed July as Game On for Park and Recreation Month. The organization also offers 5 tips to help locate parks and recreation centers:

• Visit your local park and rec agency's website
• Follow your local park and rec agency on social media
• Sign up to receive your local park and rec agency's email newsletters
• Talk to an employee at your local park or rec center
• Volunteer at your local park or rec center

In addition to these tips, NRPA urges those participating to document their experiences online with #GameOnJuly. The organization will host a weekly contest called the Park Rec Two Step Challenge. To participate, use the hashtags #ParkRecTwoStepChallenge and #GameOnJuly.
