The boards of directors of Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), CELA, Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP), and Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) met to jointly communicate their opposition to any "legislation that prevents educators from teaching about the built environment for the purpose of shielding students from divisive content related to the impact of race and racism in American and global society, as well as other pedagogy related to gender and LGBTQ+ identities..." amid legislation passed in states like Florida, Arkansas, Iowa, South Dakota, and Virginia.
