Queen?EUR??,,????'???s Park is the historic green space in central Toronto, Ontario Canada, home to the Ontario Legislative Assembly and seat of the Ontario government. The war memorial will go on the Queen's Park front lawn, the first time in 65 years that a structure will be placed on these grounds.

The Vancouver, B.C.-based landscape architectural firm of Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg and Canadian artist Allan Harding MacKay have been selected by the Veterans’ Memorial Advisory Committee following a nation-wide competition to oversee the development of the memorial and landscaping set forth in the approved design plan.

The memorial will include a stone-paved plaza, a 100-ft. long wall in two connecting sections comprised of granite stone tablets, 4.5 feet wide and up to 9-ft. high, etched with scenes along the length of the wall from Canada’s war history and inscribed with text contributions written by author Jane Urquhart and military historian Jack Granatstein. A front lawn will slope down from the legislature building under a canopy of trees. The lawn around the memorial will slope gently down toward the plaza.
