Campus Planning At Harvard Design School


The main library at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. Harvard Design School offers a seminar series on school and campus design this summer.

The design needs of public schools and university campuses is the focus of a seminar series at Harvard Design School this summer. Two of the sessions focus on student centers and campus residential communities, respectively, while another will introduce participants to an environmental/sustainable approach to campus planning and design.

?EUR??,,????'??The Sustainable Campus: Restorative Pathways of Growth on Campus?EUR??,,????'?? is of special interest to landscape architects. The team-taught seminar brings together the disciplines of campus planning, landscape architecture, and architecture. Intended for architects, planners, landscape architects, educators, and engineers, the seminar introduces participants to current, measurable examples of sustainable/environmentally informed planning and design as well as emerging frameworks of best practice that support independent action in architecture, planning, design education, and public policy.
