The American Trails association will hold their 21st International Trails Symposium on April 14th ?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)??????oe 17th 2013, at Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Radisson Resort & Conference Center in Arizona.
The symposium is the premier opportunity for greenways and trails advocates, managers, planners, builders and users, as well as environmental, tourism, development and business interests, to come together to strengthen America?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)?EUR??,,????'????s remarkable network of trails and to experience an inspirational, educational and fun-filled conference.
"Trails Lead Everywhere", is the 2013 theme and celebrates the remarkable role that trails continue to play worldwide. American Trails invite potential speakers to submit their ideas for presentations by Saturday, September 1st 2012.
As there have been some changes made to the format and to the approach in selecting presentations for the symposium, including ?EUR??,,????'?????<?????????????????Core Tracks?EUR??,,????'?????<????????????????? and ?EUR??,,????'?????<?????????????????Preferred Topics?EUR??,,????'?????<????????????????? it is important for speaking candidates to read submission guidelines carefully.
Core Tracks: A major innovation for this year's symposium is a new format option called ?EUR??,,????'?????<?????????????????Core Tracks?EUR??,,????'?????<?????????????????. They are designed to allow presenters to explore subjects in greater depth than is possible in a 75-minute concurrent session. This new format will allow more time for in-depth presentations, discussion, examples, practice and fieldwork.
Preferred Topics: This year, the Program Committee developed an online survey to better understand what symposium participants want to learn, their preferred program structure and related topics. One of the most frequent comments was more in-depth presentations of numerous subjects, including technology, trail design and construction as well as encouraging trail use.
