A Murrells Inlet, S.C. landscaping business has become the second South Carolina business to be cited for violating the state's illegal immigration law since last summer.

According to the Associated Press, LC Landscaping & Maintenance purportedly willingly hired illegal immigrants, knowing the workers were not properly documented for employment.

State officials carried out a four-month investigation after a complaint was made in October of last year. Business owner Craig Collins admitted in a settlement agreement that he knew an employee was not authorized to work in the United States.

In addition, the agreement states the company has terminated all workers not properly authorized to work in America, and LC Landscaping & Maintenance must pay a $250 reinstatement fee.
