The client requested a total overhaul of his backyard to create the feeling of being at a beach resort in Tulum, Mexico.
We started with an organic-shaped pool with a large boulder waterfall, then included a meandering lazy river for floating around a sunken swim-up palapa bar.
To really play up the beach vibes, we added a sand volleyball court, a cozy fire pit with bench seating for 10, and a playhouse cabana for the kids.

 
For the adults, a bougainvillea-covered cabana provides ample shade for a pair of swinging daybeds, as well as a full outdoor BBQ kitchen with bar and covered patio for dining alfresco.
All of these amazing amenities are wrapped in lush tropical vegetation to conceal that you're on the outskirts of a major metropolitan city.
