The Brickman Group, one of the nation’s largest commercial landscaping companies, has established a regional office in Santa Ana, Calif.
This move comes on the heels of Brickman’s purchase of Los Angeles-based Dworsky Landscaping this summer — a move that cemented the 72-year-old firm’s entrance into the Los Angeles/Orange County market.
“Our recent entrance into the Los Angeles/Orange County markets represents a big step for our firm, and establishing strong regional operations there makes these efforts more centralized,” said Brickman Executive Vice President Mike Bogan. “With 15 branches in Southern California and more than 170 branches in 30 states, Brickman is now well-positioned for this kind of move in a key market, which in turn, could mean additional job opportunities in this region.”
Brickman’s previously moderate Los Angeles County and Orange County operations were run out of the firm’s San Diego offices by Josh Dake, a 14-year industry veteran. With the Dworsky client-base now woven into Brickman’s existing work in the area, however, Dake is relocating from San Diego to Orange County to head up the entire region from Brickman’s Santa Ana office.
In his new region, Dake is responsible for the oversight of five branches: Orange County, West Los Angeles, Van Nuys, Ontario and Perris. He manages a staff of more than 200 that services the region.
