Blount, one of the world's largest manufacturers of saw chain, launched the new OREGON® PowerNow™ 40V MAX* Cordless Chainsaw. For the first time, a battery-powered chainsaw delivers a combination of performance and features that makes it a true alternative to many gas-powered chainsaws.

With spring coming, landscape contractors need more frequent visits, and are demanding quieter and more environmentally friendly alternatives to gas-powered chainsaws.

What makes the Oregon PowerNow unique is its battery-power, and as a result it starts instantly without a pull cord and is much quieter than gas-powered chainsaws and silent between cuts.

The problem that it solves for the landscape contractor is two-fold. One, it offers grab and go convenience for felling a few trees or quick limbing. Just pull the chainsaw out of the truck and it's ready to go.
