Bun na Speire, which means "The Horizon" or "Bottom of the Sky" in Irish, is a design project done by Thomas Oslund and Catherine Murray of Harvard University Graduate School of Design. The project won a 2024 BSLA Honor Award.
This project by Sasaki takes advantage of the sloped landscape to create multiple play experiences at the Boston City Hall Plaza in Massachusetts.
This diagram from Pollinate Now shows the lifecycle of bees as part of a larger project on protecting pollinators. The illustration comes from Bumblebee Economics by Bernd Heinrich, and the entire project received a Merit Award from the BSLA in 2024.

In honor of National Coloring Book Day on August 2nd, the Boston ASLA (BSLA) Chapter released the 2024 edition of their free coloring book featuring real-life projects by Landscape Architects, designers, students, and others. The book states that the goal is to "introduce kids of all ages to landscape architecture."

Each coloring page features the name of the illustrator, the name of the project, the Landscape Architect or firm who worked on it, the location, and a little bit about the project, including any awards received. The themes range from diagrams of a mushroom lifecycle (p. 44) to the design of a rooftop garden (p. 51) to examples of coloring pages a firm used to gain community insight when planning a park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (p. 10). These coloring sheets show every aspect of the design and construction process, giving users a fun peek into the world of landscape architecture.

According to the BSLA, the coloring book is updated on an ongoing basis, and interested parties can add a drawing by emailingadmin@bslanow.org.
