Bobcat's New 700 Frame-Size Loader

The new Bobcat S740 skid-steer loader available without after treatment technologies.

Bobcat Company has released its first Tier 4-compliant 700 frame-size loader. The S740 is powered by an engine that is under 75 horsepower and doesn't require a diesel particulate filter, selective catalytic reduction or diesel exhaust fluid.

The new Bobcat???(R)???AE???? S740 skid-steer loader has the company's highest rated operating capacity in the under 75-horsepower skid-steer loader class. It provides a large, powerful machine for working in construction, landscaping, agriculture, and buildings and grounds as well as other market segments.

The S740 skid-steer loaders use a diesel oxidation catalyst to meet Tier 4 emission standards, but without the need for a DPF. The DOC is a special catalyst that reacts with engine exhaust upon contact and transforms combustion byproducts into substances like water and carbon dioxide.

The Tier 4-compliant non-DPF solution was achieved by designing an ultra-low particulate combustion engine. ULPC is accomplished through a specially designed engine combustion chamber that significantly reduces the amounts of particulate matter created during combustion. Therefore, Tier 4 emissions compliance can be achieved without using a DPF.

The S740 joins the M-Series line, which includes 11 skid-steer models. For more information go to www.bobcat.com.
