Agencies all over the country are looking for a long-term solution to color pavement markings. Durable and skid-resistant Color-Safe Surface• is an excellent low-maintenance choice for most safety and color demarcation efforts.

This bike lane in Syracuse was a two-phase project with a total of 28,000 square feet of green bike lane. (Phase 1 done in July is University Avenue, from East Genesee Street to Waverly Ave and Phase 2 was scheduled for late September.)

Nagle Athletic Surfaces was the color-safe applicator while Barrett Paving was the general contractor.

Syracuse’s Connective Corridor Green program said this about the project: “Take a walk along University Avenue and you’ll see the start of a new biking system that will connect the city. This unique treatment will be a signature for Syracuse, and we are one of the first cities in the country to utilize this particular cutting edge technology for bicycle lanes under new federal standards.”

The new greenway Methacrylate bike lanes also represent a novel approach to emerging technologies. This new generation resin provides exceptional durability on asphalt and concrete, skid resistance and the highest reflective values for safety. Its easy application and fast cure time will make color pavement marking projects success stories.
