Big Royalties for Grass!

 

Many of the turfgrass varieties developed by Dr. Meyer and Dr. Clark have gained wide acclaim in NTEP trials.

Dr. William A. Meyer and Dr. Bruce B. Clark of Rutgers University were presented with a check from Lebanon Turf for $157,892.61 to support additional turfgrass research into the development of new varieties. Their past cooperation with Dr. Meyer has led to the release of several top-rated turfgrass varieties, and this check represents the royalties for those varieties which include Rembrandt, Picasso, Masterpiece, and Da Vinci Tall Fescue; Champagne, Bordeaux, Cabernet, and Sonoma Kentucky Bluegrass; Affirmed, Exacta, Churchill, and Charismatic Perennial ryegrass; Oxford Hard Fescue, Pathfinder Creeping Red Fescue, Ambassador Chewings Fescue; Declaration and Independence Creeping Bentgrass and Legendary Velvet Bentgrass. Many of these varieties rank at the top of recent NTEP trials and have gained wide acclaim in the industry.
