Big Rains Means More Work




Because of above average rainfall, Des Moines, Iowa landscapers are busier than ever. "We're mowing grass like we usually mow in June and the end of May, it's just growing that fast," said Doug Van Holland with Holland Lawn Care. "It?EUR??,,????'?????<

We all know the saying, "the grass is always greener on the other side." But lately, that phrase holds true for both sides! All this "green grass" is raking in the "green dough" for local lawn care businesses. At this rate if MotherNature has her way, landscapers will be swapped with work for at least another four months.

With so much rain, many lawn care businesses are actually mowing during down-pours to keep up with their flourishing lawns and customer base.

Sure all the rain is making the grass and business grow at an alarming rate, but Mother Nature is proving to be both a blessing and a curse.

Both Doug from Holland and Noel from Sharp Lawn Care said they actually don't mind mowing in the rain. They say, it beats cutting grass in the heat and humidity any day!
