Bert Swanson elected MNLA president




Swanson holds a PhD in plant physiology from the University of Minnesota and was a professor and nursery management specialist at the University of Minnesota for 18 years and at Colorado State University for seven years.

Swanson was first elected to the MNLA board in 1998. He was a key player in the development of the MNLA Certification Program and serves on the MNLA Nursery Committee, the Commercial Seedling Committee, and the Commercial Arborists Committee. Outside of MNLA activities, Swanson has been active in the American Nursery and Landscape Association and the International Plant Propagators Society along with other regional and national activities.

Swanson holds a PhD in plant physiology from the University of Minnesota and was a professor and nursery management specialist at the University of Minnesota for 18 years and at Colorado State University for seven years. Swanson has also served as operations manager of Nandor of the North Nursery; and designed and developed Swanson?EUR??,,????'?????<

Elected, as vice president was Debbie Lonnee, planning and administration manager at Bailey Nurseries in Newport. Elected, as secretary-treasurer was Heidi Heiland, owner of Heidi?EUR??,,????'?????<

Continuing to serve on the Board of Directors, but not up for re-election this year are Randy Berg, Berg?EUR??,,????'?????<

The Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association is the state?EUR??,,????'?????<
