Beard Park in Little Elm, Texas includes a large woodland themed playground made of material that mimic natural materials, full-size pavilion suitable for parties and gatherings, modern restroom facilities, open spaces that maintain a natural feel, and a nostalgic area containing the famed town log cabin. The park's overall theme connects the past and the present with a "Family Tree" look and feel, providing residents a space to connect with the Little Elm of their memories. The play structure also include woodland animals and reptiles scattered throughout for a entertaining scavenger hunt. Hiking trails are located in the park that joins with the Lakefront Trail, giving hikers, walkers, joggers, and runners a connected series of paths to customize their workouts and activities.
