Award for Interpretive Signage

Landform, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm, recently created interprative signage for the Akin Riverside Historic Promenade. In October, 2004, the signage won the National Certificate of Commendation from the American Association for State and Local History. The award-winning signs depict Anoka's rich history; with images and descriptive text to show how the city has changed over time. The project was a unique collaboration with the City of Anoka Parks & Recreation Department and the Anoka County Historical Society.
