Australian Landscape Foundation Founded

Michael Ewings, FAILA, MAIH, has announced the formation of the Australian Landscape Foundation (ALF) within the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.

Mr. Ewings, the ALF development director, said the foundation was formed to ?EUR??,,????'??advance awareness of achievements in landscape architecture and its contribution to the environment and community,?EUR??,,????'?? and to further the profession through research, education and practice.

The ALF has already produced its first multi-media piece, a DVD titled ?EUR??,,????'??A Passionate Profession.?EUR??,,????'?? Subsequent DVDs will be used to raise funds. ALF has an initial target of $1 million to be invested and used for research and promotion of the profession.
