This summer, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) hosted a 4-day immersive workshop in Washington, D.C. to show educators how to integrate environmental design theory (aka the principles of landscape architecture) into lessons in other disciplines.

 

Titled "Teaching Environmental Design through Landscape Architecture," this event gathered over 20 educators from across the country to learn from ASLA Fellows like Jennifer Nitzky, PLA, FASLA, and David Rubin, PLA, FASLA, while taking site tours that brought the lessons to life.

The ASLA hopes to continue this workshop annually.
