ASLA Teams up with NIBS for Web Portal

The addition of the Design Disciplines section to the WBDG web-based portal (www.wbdg.org) is expected to greatly enhance this single point-of-entry internet resource, according to the ASLA.

The ASLA recently reported plans to participate in the expansion of the National Institute of Building Sciences' Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG). The website is being updated with a section on 'design disciplines,' which will included discipline-specific information about (among many other aspects of design) landscape architecture. The portal was created in 1997 to give government and industry practitioners a one-stop source for up-to-date information on a wide range of building-related guidance, criteria, and technology from a ?EUR??,,????'??whole buildings?EUR??,,????'?? perspective. ASLA staff is working with NIBS to provide detailed content for landscape architecture pages. The new section is expected to be available in early summer.
