ASLA Partner with ACE Mentoring Program

In a step to increase the number and diversity of students entering the landscape architecture profession, ASLA has become a national sponsor and partner of the ACE Mentor Program (acementor.org).

The ACE Mentoring Program was founded in 1994 by the principals of leading design and construction firms to introduce high school students to career opportunities in architecture, engineering and construction. In the spring of 1995, the organization held its first fundraiser to establish a scholarship program for ACE graduates.

There are 17 state chapters plus the District of Columbia participating in the program. Other national sponsors include AIA, Turner (construction), McGraw Hill Construction, International Masonry Institute, EMCOR Construction Services, Associated General Contractors of America and Bentley Systems, Inc. (software for architecture, engineering, construction.
