Speakers and presentations have been very diverse with landscape architectural firms - Norris Design - John Norris, ASLA, Kimley Horn - Jonathan Campbell, ASLA, Halff and Associates - Nate Clair, ASLA and David McCaskell, and Hoerr Schaudt - Aaron Ross, ASLA, plus design firm Building Culture - Austin Tunnell. Technical presentations have included splash pad sustainability, regional stone selection, playground design for teens, concrete paver sustainability, and post construction follow-up.

Several social events were held in Oklahoma City and Tulsa with members enjoying the opportunity to meet in person post-COVID.
17th ANNUAL CENTRAL STATES CONFERENCE - Engage, Educate, and Evolve 2022: Jacoby Gonzales, Committee Chair and other committee members are diligently planning for the event occurring May 4-6, 2022 in Tulsa Oklahoma. OK / ASLA 2021 Awards:
The State Annual Meeting was held on October 21st at 21C Museum in Oklahoma City with an attendance of around 60 professionals, sponsors, and students. This was the first "in-person" state-wide meeting since September, 2019. Over 14 professional projects were submitted with eight awards given. In addition, eight student awards were given to individual students and student design teams. An OK / ASLA 2021 Awards pdf booklet will be created and sent to landscape architects and architects within the State of Oklahoma to promote the profession. Award winners include:

ASLA Council of Fellows
Scott L. Howard was inducted as a part of the 2021 Class of ASLA Fellow at the Annual Meeting, Sunday, November 21, in Nashville, TN. Mr. Howard's application was in the service category with over 36-years of service within the profession, Oklahoma City, the State of Oklahoma and National ASLA.
