The head of the landscape architecture department of Mississippi State University (MSU), Prof. Cameron Man, FASLA, will receive the American Society of Landscape Architects?EUR??,,????'??? ?EUR??,,????'??Medal?EUR??,,????'?? during their annual meeting, Oct. 6-10 in Minneapolis.

The ASLA Medal is the organization?EUR??,,????'???s top honor and given for lifetime achievements and contributions to the profession. Only one is presented each year.

Man received his bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and his MLA from the University of Calif. at Berkeley. He began the Cameron Man firm in 1965 in Winnipeg, Canada, which soon became Man, Taylor, Muret. In 1973, at the time another office was established in Calgary, the name of the firm changed to the Lombard North Group.

Man joined the MSU staff in 1989. The landscape architecture programs at MSU is the only one in the state. In 2002-2003, Man was president of the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture.
