Thank you to our Member and Associate Member-at Large, John Aceto and Dani Hodgson, as well as our Association Manager, Kristina Sickels, for planning the annual golf outing at the beginning of June. I think I can speak for all attendees and say that it was a perfect day for golf!

The Board of Trustees Annual Meeting was held virtually in April with a major focus on elections to national positions. After interviews and voting took place, we are pleased to congratulate Monique Bassey, ASLA as VP-Elect of Communications as well as the Iowa Chapter's own Chris Della Vedova, ASLA as VP-Elect of Finance. Both will be sworn into their new positions at the annual conference this coming November. Congratulations to two highly qualified and deserving candidates. We always appreciate the national level appointments from the Iowa Chapter.
As part of the Olmsted200 Week in Des Moines, the Iowa Chapter of ASLA partnered with the Des Moines Founders Garden Club, Water Works Park Foundation, Great Outdoors Foundation, and Shive- Hattery to bring the Olmsted200 exhibit 'Frederick Law Olmsted: Landscapes for the Public Good' to Water Works Park in Des Moines. The installation features interpretive panels exploring the many facets of Olmsted's life and legacy on our profession and the modern urban landscape. Located near the Lauridsen Amphitheater, the exhibit will remain open to the public through the end of the year.
