ASLA Gearing Up For Expo




San Diego, Calif. is the host city for the 2011 ASLA Annual Meeting and Expo, with the opening session set to begin on Oct. 31.

Thousands of landscape architecture professionals from the U.S. and around the world are heading to San Diego, Calif. for the American Society of Landscape Architect's annual meeting and expo.

Events will be held at the San Diego Convention center with on-site registration opening on Oct. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. Registration opens on Oct. 30 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with field sessions, education sessions and a SITES workshop also scheduled that day.

The opening general session will be held on Oct. 31 from 8 to 9 a.m., with the Expo doors opening at 9 a.m. and continuing until 5 p.m. Landscape Architect and Specifier News is exhibiting at booth #2509 in the expo hall.

The Expo hours on Nov. 1 will also be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with education sessions and meetings scheduled throughout the day. The Council of Fellows Investiture Dinner will be held on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. the Hilton Bayfront hotel. The investiture dinner is a ticketed event.

The final day of the Annual Meeting starts with the Women in Landscape Architecture Walk from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. This days also includes a Council of Fellows Business Meeting, education sessions, the ASLA Professional and Students Awards Ceremony with the concluding event being The Presidents Dinner and presentation of ASLA Honors. This event at the Hilton Bayfront is also a ticketed event.
