In 2007, Lovett was influential in helping the Jacksonville ASLA chapter raise approximately $30,000 at its annual golf tournament, baseball game and holiday gala. More than $10,000 of the funds was donated to a variety of local charities, including First Tee and I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless.

The jointly-sponsored American Institute of Architects (AIA)/ASLA Baseball Night featuring the Jacksonville Suns attracted nearly 300 people from the design community to the baseball grounds, in support of Habijax. Funds were raised through sponsorships, ticket sales and a game-worn jersey auction.

Lovett also hosted a holiday fundraiser for ASLA/AIA members at his home for the past two years. The parties attracted more than 120 guests, and each year more than $4,000 was raised and donated to I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless.

More than 400 landscape architects and other professionals attended the three-day ASLA conference, which consisted of continuing education seminars, tours of local places of interest, a Jacksonville Suns game and the awards ceremony where notable projects and colleagues from all across the state of Florida were honored and recognized.
