In September, Adam McCollister was selected as the 2019 Exceptional Emerging Professional. The honor is bestowed upon one landscape architect who represents the highest standard of excellence and is in the early stage of their professional life. McCollister was also welcomed as the president-elect of the Florida chapter.

Common Ground was the theme for the 2019 ASLA Florida Conference & Expo held July 11 - 13 at the Loew's Sapphire Falls Resort in Orlando. With diverse narratives deeply imbedded into the programming of our courses, we celebrated the rich diversity within our chapter.

To celebrate this year's National Trails Day, the ASLA Florida Broward Section partnered with Cadence for a hike in Everglades National Park! The event was held on June 1st from 9:30am to 11:30am on Long Pine Key. The hike focused on learning about the past, present, and future of the Everglades as well as doing our part to mitigate the damages caused by the government shutdown.

As seen in LASN magazine, December 2019.
