ASLA Connecticut Chapter Awards Six Scholarships Totaling $10,500

The Karen Ann Shopis-Fox Memorial Scholarship (KSF) and The Landscape Architecture Environmental Stewardship Scholarship for High School Seniors (LAESS) Winners Were Announced

The ASLA Connecticut Chapter awarded six students scholarships towards their landscape architecture education. This year marks the most students awarded in a single year as well as the most money overall.

The ASLA Connecticut Chapter announced their 2021 award recipients. This year is the chapter's largest total value and the greatest number of recipients for scholarships.

This year's scholarships were made possible through the chapter's Holiday and Annual Awards fundraising appeal.

2021 winners for the Karen Ann Shopis-Fox Memorial Scholarship include Purdue University student, Jacob Battista, University of Connecticut student, Victor Cizik, University of Connecticut student, Michael Grigoriou, and Cal Poly student, Oliver Zych. Winners for the Landscape Architecture Environmental Stewardship Scholarship for High School Seniors include Middletown High School student, Amanda Nackowski and Westhill High School student, Caroline Klumac.

The Karen Ann Shopis-Fox Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students currently enrolled in an accredited landscape architecture college or university program.

The Landscape Architecture Environmental Stewardship Scholarship for High School Seniors is awarded to high school seniors who are applying for landscape architecture programs at a college or university the following year.
