Susannah Drake's vision for the past 20 years has been for cities and communities to address solutions to climate change through design. She is a trustee of the Van Alen Institute, former president and trustee of the New York Chapter of the ASLA, urban design professor at Cooper Union and associate of the Cooper Union Institute for Sustainable Design. Her advisory appointments to New York City task forces have help spur changes to waterfront zoning, the development of the city's new green infrastructure standards, and the fourth regional plan of the N.Y./N.J./Conn. metro area.

W. Gary Smith

W. Gary Smith's landscape architecture derives from his planting designs, fine arts and his creative approach that celebrates plants and our connections to them. In more than 30 years of professional practice, he has worked almost exclusively in botanic gardens and arboretums. Current projects in the design and/or fundraising stages include the new Santa Fe Botanical Garden; the Children's Garden at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin; the Discovery Garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden; the Therapeutic Garden at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens; and the John Wister Rhododendron Garden at Tyler Arboretum in Media, Pa.

Annette Wilkus

Annette Wilkus has managed the construction of many of the world's most recognized, beloved and often technically challenging landscape initiatives. Over the last 30 years, she has worked with leading landscape architects, architects and engineers as the landscape construction specialist who has brought their designs to life. She is widely recognized as an expert in site-related issues: design, documentation, implementation, construction and life-cycle cost analysis, and construction sequencing. Annette serves on the ASLA Board of Trustees as vice president of professional practice.
