The stoppage of infrastructure funding has effected Landscape Architecture projects.
The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is calling on Congress to ensure that the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funds are fully doled out after Executive Order 14154 halted funding.
The ASLA sent a letter on March 5 addressed to Congress encouraging these funds as "many landscape architecture firms performed work on active transportation, water and stormwater management, parks and recreation, biodiversity, and other community infrastructure projects under both the IIJA and the IRA with the expectation of receiving contractual remuneration."
