The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) announces the selection of five new honorary members to the Society for their work in education, activism and dedication to the landscape architecture profession.
Honorees, Stephen M. Benz; U.S. Rep. Donna Edwards; Dr. Richard J. Jackson; Robin C. Moore; and Dennis Pieprz will be presented at the ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO in Phoenix, Arizona on October 1st at President's Dinner and awards ceremony.
Honorary membership is among the highest honors ASLA can bestow upon non-landscape architects in recognition of notable service to the profession. Since its inception in 1899, ASLA has inducted only 158 honorary members. The 2012 honorees are:

She has worked diligently to protect and preserve our nation's natural resources and has championed innovative approaches to water management, smart growth, and transportation policies.
