The American Society of Landscape Architects has released the call for entries for its 2007 professional and student awards program. Each year, the ASLA awards program honors the best in landscape architecture from around the globe, while the student awards program provides a glimpse into the future of the profession. Members of the professional awards jury convening in March 2007 include: Christopher Dimond, FASLA, HNTB, Kansas City, Mo., Jury Chair Warren T. Byrd, FASLA, Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, Charlottesville, Va. William B. Calloway, FASLA, SWA Group, Sausalito, Calif. Adele Chatfield-Taylor, American Academy in Rome, New York, N.Y. Astrid Haryati, ASLA, Assistant to the Mayor, City of Chicago, Chicago, Ill. Richard Hawks, FASLA, State University of New York, Syracuse, N.Y. Raymond Jungles, FASLA, Raymond Jungles, Inc., Miami, Fla. Ketzel Levine, National Public Radio, Portland, Ore. Ken Smith, ASLA, Ken Smith Landscape Architecture, New York, N.Y. Bill Marken, editor-in-chief of Garden Design magazine in Los Altos, Calif., will join the jury for the Residential Design Category and William H. Tishler, FASLA, representing the National Trust for Historic Preservation, will join the jury for selection of the Landmark Award. Professional award entry forms are due by Friday, February 9, 2007. Professional submissions must be received by Friday, February 23, 2007. Student entry forms are due by Friday, May 18, 2007. Student submissions must be received by Friday, June 1, 2007.
