ASGi Offers Online Certification

The Association of Synthetic Grass Installers (ASGi) has announced it will begin offering a ten-module online Level I certification class. Some topics covered are expected to include backing, yarn fiber, infill, seaming, glues and adhesives, job materials, product handling, invoicing, purchase orders, bills of lading and material choices. The course will be self-paced, and tests may be taken at any time throughout the process.

Online courses offering specialist certifications in putting greens, bocce ball fields, ASTM fall zone safety standards and ADA compliance in commercial applications and possibly football fields are expected.

The program is free for ASGi General Builder members only, as is renewal. Others interested in the course must pay a one-time $250 and annual $25 re-certification fees. The class is expected to become available in March.
