AAL, which announced it had eliminated its carbon footprint in November of 2007 at the annual Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, has long provided architects with high-performance, environmentally friendly products. United States Green Building Council announced that projects using a minimum of one percent climate neutral products (total building materials based on cost) could earn an Innovation in Design credit. AAL?EUR??,,????'???s footprint was calculated based upon the five determinants identified in the GHG Protocol Initiative: emissions from fuel use in facilities, indirect emissions from purchased electricity, emissions from employee commuting, emissions from business travel and emissions from transportation. After investigating each area, the team found AAL?EUR??,,????'???s carbon emissions totaled 11,008 U.S. tons.
