Architect Conn-ects with OK City Advisory Panel OKLAHOMA CITY--The "Conncourse," a series of underground tunnels named after its proponent, the late banker Jack Conn, is set for renovation at a proposed cost of up to $500,000. Architect Rand Elliott has been tapped by the Downtown Oklahoma City Inc. Business Improvement District Advisory Board to helm the project. Elliott hopes to update the tunnels with modern decor, more art exhibits and a new name. Although Elliott has tossed around "The Tube" or "The Pipe" as prospective names, he has also asserted that the project would commit to the memory of Conn, whom he had known. A 30,000-foot complex of walkways, dining and retailers, the Conncourse is used by several thousand downtown workers a day.
