The Playgrounds Issue of Landscape Architect & Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. This project was not chosen for a Feature in the issue, but we at LandscapeArchitect.com thought the project deserved to be showcased online . . .
Ann Morrison Park:

Day or night the magical spray park at Ann Morrison Park is a sight to behold and an irresistible invitation to splash with 69 colored Jumping LED Arch Jets and 14 custom water weirs. The LED Arch Jets create a tunnel of streams for children and adults to run through, while the custom water weirs spray from the surrounding cement seating, inviting visitors to cool their toes. At night, the spray park transforms into a colorful spectacle, as the water jets are decked out with LED lights that can be programmed to rotate through a full spectrum of colors.

Creekside Park:
No kid will emerge dry from the fully immersive, interactive splash play experience at Creekside Park. The central HydraHub2 provides numerous ways to play, climb and get drenched. Gleeful kids can get doused by the dumping bucket above or saturate their friends below, while play features like slides and tunnels offer routes for exploration and motor play. Nearby, several SprayVines are manipulative twisty tubes that kids can shake to spray water in any direction, while a series of RippleRun archways create a tunnel of mist for squealing children to run through. Plentiful ground sprays keep the water fun going with all different spray effects, ensuring that visitors to Creekside Park are in for the soaking of the summer.
