ANLA 2004 Retail Roadshow Goes to the Big Apple

Washington, D.C.?EUR??,,????'??+The 2004 Retail Roadshow will take the American Nursery and Landscape Association?EUR??,,????'???s (ANLA) retailing community to New York City, June 16-20. Produced by ANLA?EUR??,,????'???s retailing division, the National Garden Center Organization (NGCO), the annual Roadshow offers members a chance to see the best in retail garden centers around the country. Confirmed tour sites include Matterhorn Nursery Inc., Hicks Nurseries Inc., Atlantic Nursery & Garden Shop, Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouse, Old Westbury Gardens and Stew Leonard?EUR??,,????'???s Grocery.

This year?EUR??,,????'???s Roadshow will include an optional additional day to visit top retailers in New York City, a tour led by Joe Weishar, a visual merchandising expert and teacher at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Sally and James Gill of Gill Landscape Nursery Inc. in Texas were enthusiastic about last year?EUR??,,????'???s Roadshow. ?EUR??,,????'??We?EUR??,,????'???ve traveled all over the country touring gardens, just the two of us, but never have we been able to see so much and hear so many ideas in such a short period of time. We listed 47 ideas or improvements we plan on implementing in our stores.?EUR??,,????'??

The 2004 Retail Roadshow will conclude with a tour, demonstration and closing dinner at the ?EUR??,,????'??Disneyland of Garden Centers,?EUR??,,????'?? Matterhorn Nursery Inc., which received the 2003 Innovator award from Garden Center Merchandising and Management.
