As universities across the country have adapted to exclusively online classrooms, many organizations have recognized the value of providing services through the internet. The American Concrete Institution recently decided to move in that direction with their June Concrete Convention in response to canceling their March convention.

 
ACI University is set to host the completely virtual event, which is scheduled to take place starting on June 1st and ending on the 3rd with different presentations hosted throughout those days. The presentations include testing concrete strength, the construction and performance of reinforced concrete pavements, a discussion on new types of concrete reinforcement, and serval others adding up to over 20 hours of education during the three-day convention. Additionally, attendees may receive continuing education units as well as a certificate of completion for their participation.

The executive vice president of ACI, Ronald G. Burg, expressed optimism for the event in saying that he was thankful for their global community to be able to host the convention. He went on to mention that despite the challenges of changing their delivery, the convention will continue to be "the world's gathering place for advanced concrete."
