DENVER, CO- American Civil Constructors Inc. recently received awards for design, construction and landscape maintenance on projects throughout Colorado. ACC garnered a Grand Award for the design and construction of David A. Lorenz Regional Park and a Merit Award for landscape maintenance at The Preserve HOA in the 34th Annual Environmental Improvement Awards Program sponsored by the Associated Landscape Contractors of America. David A. Lorenz Regional Park is built on a closed, capped landfill in Douglas County. ACC designed the master plan and built Phase I of the park which includes two multiuse synthetic turf fields and a synthetic turf baseball field. The park cannot be irrigated, so the entire park was constructed to be self-sustaining without water. ACC also received a Gold Hard Hat Award for the construction of Fossil Trace Golf Course and a Silver Hard Hat Award for the construction of the Castle Rock Skate Park in the Colorado Construction Magazine?EUR??,,????'???s 2003 Gold Hard Hat Awards. Fossil Trace Golf Course in Golden is an aggressive new golf course on a historic site whose excavation turned up five dinosaur tracks and palm frond fossils on the 12th and 15th holes. ACC golf was diligent in maintaining the integrity and uniqueness of this site throughout construction. For more than 30 years ACC, a civil contractor with offices nationwide, has provided sport facility construction, landscape, reclamation, golf course construction, and heavy highway construction services.
