Greeley landscape contractor Alpine Gardens won two awards of excellence at the 2006 Landscape Contractors of Colorado, ALCC, Excellence in Landscape Awards banquet on Jan. 25. The awards pay tribute to beautiful and creative landscapes across Colorado.

Alpine Gardens won two of the 59 awards that are presented to commercial landscapes designed by ALCC members. The awards were given to Alpine Gardens for landscape construction and landscape maintenance for work at the Stevenson residence.

The goal of the design for the Stevenson residence was to create a landscape that was colorful and conserved water, said Jack Fetig of Alpine Gardens in a statement.

Other award categories include xeriscape, water features, wall construction and irrigation system construction.

The ALCC has more than 700 members and six chapters across Colorado. It is the largest professional organization for Colorado landscape contractors.
