Washington, D.C. ?EUR??,,????'??+ The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has developed a School Construction Guide, 110 pages of information intended for those involved in building educational facilities: contractors, architects, engineers, school administrators, faculty, and local decision-makers. The guide divides the construction process into eight sections, from project planning through project turnover. The guide covers site selection, funding alternatives, design and construction. ?EUR??,,????'??There are many unique aspects involved in building an educational facility and this guide provides an excellent baseline of the information needed to work in this important and growing construction market,?EUR??,,????'?? said AGC President Jack Kelley, president of Bangor, Maine-based Nickerson O?EUR??,,????'???Day. ?EUR??,,????'??Our firm has worked on a number of school-related projects and it helps tremendously to have a working knowledge of what is required on these projects, and to be prepared to handle some of the circumstances unique to these jobs.?EUR??,,????'?? The guide was authored by Tom Glavinich, D.E., P.E., of the University of Kansas.
