Planters will open its first-ever Planters Grove, a peanut-shaped urban park in New Orleans?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR? historic Central City neighborhood?EUR??,,????'?????<??oean area still in need of revitalization as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Part urban revitalization, part art, this recreational natural space was designed by Ken Smith, the renowned landscape architect (best known for the MOMA rooftop garden in NYC and his use of sustainable and reclaimed materials in his unique designs) with strong input from the local community.
Previously an unused plot of land, this green space was designed to provide a natural, inspirational place for the community to enjoy. The Planters Grove was brought to life by The Corps Network, the national member organization for Service and Conservation Corps, with its local member Corps, Limitless Vistas, Inc. and the Louisiana Green Corps/ARC of Greater New Orleans. The design is inspired by elements intrinsic to New Orleans including locally sourced reclaimed materials and native plants and flowers. Key features include: ?EUR??,,????'?????<???????
