During the 2014 ConExpo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Del Webb Middle School Varsity Orchestra from nearby Henderson, Nev., took center stage in Hyundai's exhibit area to entertain attendees with a grand performance.

As an example of their commitment to investing in communities, Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas Inc. recently made a donation to the Del Webb Middle School Varsity Orchestra of Henderson, Nev.; the same group that provided entertainment at Hyundai's exhibit at the 2014 ConExpo held March 4-8 in Las Vegas.

"We were honored to showcase the Del Webb Middle School Varsity Orchestra at our ConExpo booth and we hope our donation will allow these students to continue advancing their musical talents," states Sam Yoon, President of Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas Inc.

The Del Webb Middle School Varsity Orchestra consists of 64 students ranging in age from 12 to 14 years old. Students in this orchestra have a minimum of two years of playing experience on violin, viola, cello or bass. The orchestra also recently performed at the Clark County School District Middle School Orchestra Festival where they earned superior ratings (the highest rating possible) from 3 nationally acclaimed adjudicators.

According to orchestra director JaNae Taylor, Hyundai's donation to the orchestra will be used to purchase music and instruments for the students to play as well as professional posture chairs that will help the students play with the correct posture.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas Inc. offers earthmoving and material-handling equipment, including wheel loaders and skid steer loaders.
