GreenScapes is a new landscape design imaging program that lets a landscape contractor use a digital camera or phone camera to snap shots of a property to be landscaped, download them into a computer and select from a database of objects and textures to create a presentation of a finished project.

A new design imaging program for the landscape industry was recently introduced to the market. Called GreenScapes, it was developed by the producers of DesignWare, a pre-eminent digital design tool.

According to the manufacturer, users of the old program do not have to learn a new work process since DesignWare interface concepts were integrated into GreenScapes, which can also accept custom libraries already created.

The improvements cited include higher resolution, better sorting, new libraries, a bigger paving library, a stamp-it feature for interlocking pavers, e-mailing capabilities, better training resources, and an automated registration process.
