This comes to mind after reading an item in the Curry Coastal Pilot, a paper of the Southern Oregon coastal area. Seems there?EUR??,,????'???s a 34.5-ft. water tank build by a construction company on a hill in Brookings, Oregon causing consternation. It was supposed to be 15 feet tall, but somehow ended up rising over twice that height. The city council voted to keep the tower, but some homeowners want it removed or lowered. Even the construction company that built it wants it taken down, because the city staff issued a stop order to the project earlier this year, keeping the construction company from proceeding with other projects.

While the fate of the tower is not resolved, what is interesting is the construction company also plans on landscaping for the tower grounds and plans to hire a landscape contractor to design the vegetation. Why a landscape contractor? The company asserts landscape contractors are plentiful on the south Oregon coast, but landscape architects are hard to come by.
