Atlanta Botanical Garden

Located in the northwest corner of Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Botanical Garden includes the Fuqua Conservatory, trails through a restored fifteen-acre hardwood forest and vegetable, rose and Japanese gardens. The Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory opened in March of 1989. The 16,000 square-foot glass-enclosed conservatory houses tropical, endangered and desert species from orchids to cacti bonsai to insectivores. ABG's continuous renovation planning regularly includes a consulting Landscape Architect. Currently, Jeff Rausch, L.A., of Pittsburgh- based Environmental Planning and Design is working on a long-range plan for ABG that includes adding a children's garden, a trustee's garden, and a gift of 100 acres north of the city.

April brings a quilt of pink, white, violet, red, orange, purple and yellow flowers to Atlanta. Most poplar are azaleas and dogwoods.
